Yes — the app is free to try with built-in starter tokens. You only need to purchase tokens if you want extended or high-volume usage. The product is pay-for-usage, not subscription-based.
3. Do you collect personal data like emails or location?
No. We intentionally avoid collecting personal identifiers, emails, IP-based location, or tracking analytics. Login is implemented using an anonymous ID-string system so you can use the service without revealing identity.
4. Why do you use an ID-string login instead of Gmail/Apple login?
Because we do not want to collect *any* personal information. A random ID string allows persistent token balance and user isolation without linking to a real person. This keeps the product safe, anonymous, and compliant with strict privacy principles.
5. What file types can I upload for translation?
We currently support:

6. Can ContextAI translate conversations or only single sentences?
It excels at conversation translation. Unlike traditional translators, ContextAI remembers context across paragraphs and responds naturally, making it ideal for chat screenshots, multilingual threads, learning, and forum discussions.
7. How accurate is the translation?
Accuracy depends on model behavior and complexity of text, but generally very strong for natural speech and long-form context. Since AI translation is probabilistic, for critical legal/medical use, we recommend reviewing results manually.
8. Can I compare translations side-by-side?
Yes. The app has built-in side-by-side diff mode so you can read the original text and translation simultaneously — especially useful for learning languages or reviewing AI nuance.
9. How do tokens work?
Each translation request consumes tokens based on input and output length. Tokens are stored on your anonymous ID, so you won't lose them, even across devices.
10. How much do tokens cost?
Current official pricing:
• $5 → 1,000,000 tokens
• $10 → 2,200,000 tokens
• $20 → 5,500,000 tokens
• $50 → 15,000,000 tokens
11. Can tokens expire?
No, tokens do not expire for now. Since this is still an early beta product, future token policy may evolve based on operational cost and user scale, but your purchased tokens will remain valid.
12. Where are translations processed?
Translations are processed on secure servers using large-language translation models. No personal data is attached to requests, and results are not stored permanently unless session history is enabled by the user.
13. Can I delete my translation history?
Yes — anytime.
We do not store long-term logs tied to identity. Temporary history exists only for UX session continuity, and you can clear it instantly within the app.
